Cut flowers are a very popular gift that will please any lady. The disadvantage of these flowers, however, is their limited lifespan. That’s why we’ll show you a proven trick that will allow any cut flower you have at home to take root. After rooting you can plant the flower and grow it at home and enjoy its beauty continuously.

Cut flowers

Every woman loves cut flowers and is very happy to receive them, but it’s always a pity when a flower dies and we have to throw it away. Thanks to this trick, however, you can preserve these flowers forever.

Planting

You will not grow a cut flower at home if you only put it into the soil. Just like in water, it would die after a few days. First, it is necessary to develop a root system. Only after you have grown roots is it possible to plant the flower into the soil.

Roots

To grow your own roots from a cut plant you need a cutting at least 20 cm long. Ideally remove unnecessary leaves and flower buds from the entire stem. Then you can choose one of three methods to grow the roots.

Yeast

Yeast can be used in many ways. Yeast supports the growth of flowers just like fertilizer.
Prepare 1 liter of water and add a teaspoon of dried yeast. Then place the flower in this water for at least 1 day.
Afterwards it is good to remove the stem from the water and rinse it with lukewarm water. Then place the stem in a vase with clean water. Refill it regularly but do not change it.
Within a few days the first roots should appear; let them grow a little and then you can proceed to planting.

Honey

The method is basically the same as with yeast. Indeed, it’s advisable here too to start with one liter of water. Add 2 teaspoons of honey to the water.
Leave the stem in this mixture for about 12 hours and then transfer the stem to clean water and wait for the roots to grow.

Aloe vera

If you have the plant at home, you can press out its juice. If you don’t have the plant on hand, it’s good to buy aloe vera extract in the store.
Take 1 liter of water and add 10 drops of aloe vera nectar to it.
Leave the plant in this solution for up to 14 days.
After this time the first roots will sprout and at that point add more drops of aloe vera nectar to the water.

Proper planting

The main factor is that the pot is large enough to accommodate the soil intended for the flowers and mature plants. The soil should also be loose and sufficiently moist.
