Unfortunately we must state that most people do not manage to find true love in life. Some settle for little, others search their whole lives without stopping, but remain alone.
But something different happened to the hero of our story
Winston Howes with his beloved wife Janette, spent a full 33 years in marriage. All the neighbors were shocked by their relationship. During that whole time, no one even once heard that they argued. They were truly the ideal couple!
But 20 years ago Janette suddenly died
Winston could not get over it and decided to create something in memory of his wife …
He began planting oaks. All the neighbors around thought it helped him cope with the grief and therefore paid it no attention.
A full 6000 trees were planted in a meadow near Janette’s family home.
In the middle of the oaks there was a heart shape
Only 20 years later one of Winston’s neighbors, who happened to be flying by, saw the truth. In the middle of the oaks a space had been left in the shape of a huge heart, inside which beautiful daffodils were growing.
