Each of us sometimes suffers from abdominal pain and it doesn’t necessarily mean we overate or slept poorly. Recurrent pains, however, are a sign that something worrying is happening to our body. Note these pains and the following article will tell you what they mean.
This article will tell you in which cases nothing serious is happening and in which you should see a doctor as quickly as possible.
1. PAIN ON THE LEFT SIDE
It may indicate a kidney infection or kidney stones. If urination is painful for you, you should seek a doctor immediately.
Pain in this area can also indicate spinal problems.
2. PAIN IN THE MIDDLE PART OF THE ABDOMEN AROUND THE UMBILICAL AREA
Severe pain just above the navel (or around the navel) can be a sign of appendicitis. If you lean to the right and feel that the pain has intensified, seek medical attention as soon as possible.
If vomiting occurs, it may be pancreatitis – in this case too you should not delay visiting a doctor.
3. PAIN ON THE RIGHT SIDE
In this case you have 3 possibilities:
- the pain is caused by a urinary tract infection
- constipation
- it is appendicitis
4. PAIN IN THE LOWER LEFT PART OF THE ABDOMEN
These pains are usually due to intestinal issues. They are also common in women during menstruation.
5. PAIN IN THE LOWER CENTRAL PART OF THE ABDOMEN
Pain below the navel may indicate a urinary tract infection or intestinal inflammation. Women should not ignore this pain and in this case it is necessary to seek help from a gynecologist.
7. PAIN IN THE UPPER PART OF THE ABDOMEN ON THE LEFT SIDE
This pain may indicate stomach problems, ulcers, or pancreatic issues.
If the pain is severe and your condition rapidly worsens, it may be gallstones.
8. PAIN IN THE MIDDLE PART OF THE ABDOMEN JUST UNDER THE RIBCAGE
The most common cause is reflux, but it can also be ulcers.
9. PAIN IN THE UPPER PART OF THE ABDOMEN ON THE RIGHT SIDE
This could be due to excess stomach acid, or it may be ulcers of the small intestine.
Remember that if the abdominal pain does not stop, you should see a doctor.
