By the word “pain” we mean primarily energy, then a sensation, and only finally do we mean a physical manifestation. If we think about it more closely, we must admit that every source of pain is truly always only of an energetic nature.

Physical manifestations of pain are always secondary. Every source of pain in our body is directly connected to some specific emotional state.

And the task of each such emotional state is to remind us that there are still areas in our life that we should work on.

Let us perceive these unresolved areas in our lives as lessons waiting only for us to learn them. And when we manage to master these lessons, the pain quickly passes.

How is emotional pain connected to the places in the body where physical pain appears?

Regarding the relationship between the body and pain, it should be realized that the body perceives pain very precisely. Our life experiences, events and impressions are directly reflected in our body.

And when we experience emotional stress, our body will show us exactly in which area of our life there is a problem. This signal that the body sends us only needs to be decoded.

1. Muscle pain. Persistent muscle pain suggests that perhaps we have a problem moving forward in life.

Consider whether we approach our experiences at work, at home, or the most secret ones we experience within ourselves with sufficient flexibility.

Let yourself be carried more by the natural flow of life.

2. Headaches. Head pain usually relates to our unwillingness to make a clear decision. If you suffer from migraine – the queen of headaches – it means that when you face a problem you actually know which decision is right, but you still do not take it and carry it out.

If you are troubled by headaches, you should find time each day for a walk and rest. Do something that helps you relax.

3. Neck pain. If your neck and cervical spine hurt, it may be related to having trouble forgiving others, and even yourself.

If neck pain keeps returning, try to honestly reflect on which qualities, things or anything you like about yourself and also about others.

You should focus primarily on these positive aspects. And consciously develop the ability to forgive.

4. Sore gums. Similar to headaches, gum pain also points to the fact that we somehow cannot make a clear decision for ourselves.

And even if we do decide on something, we do not have sufficient persistence to stick to our decision. So clearly clarify what you really want, and then go after it!

5. Shoulder pain. If our shoulders hurt, it may mean that we carry really heavy emotional burdens on our shoulders. That is why it is figuratively said that we should not carry the problems of the whole world on our backs.

So learn to approach our problems practically and proactively.

At the same time, perhaps realize that some problems in our lives do not actually concern us at all — it’s time to leave them to the people to whom these problems directly pertain.

6. Stomach pain. The stomach is an indicator of whether we are “digesting” life well or not. Digestive problems most often stem from feeling unfulfilled.

As a result, an empty hole remains inside us and we begin to feel sadness.

7. Upper back pain. Pain in the upper back may signal that we struggle with a lack of emotional support from others.

We feel unloved. We even suppress love inside and do not know how or do not want to show it outwardly.

If you are single and have pain in the upper back, it is probably high time to think about a date and socialize a bit more.

8. Lower back pain. Pain in the lower back may reveal that we worry excessively about money or, again, that we lack emotional support from others.

Maybe it is the right time for you to dare to ask for a raise.

The other option is to learn to plan your finances a bit — that will help you handle money effectively and use it a bit more sensibly.

9. Sacrum and tailbone pain. It seems that you are sitting on some problem that needs to be started. Analyze this problem soberly down to its foundations — there you will find its solution.

10. Elbow pain. Sore elbows most often appear when we resist making the necessary changes in our life. If your elbows and hands are stiff, it may mean that a certain degree of flexibility is acutely missing in your life.

In that case it is probably time to reconcile with the idea that you should make some compromises, shuffle your life affairs a bit and shake things up.

If you do not feel ready for this yet, at least relax a little and let yourself be carried by the natural flow of life.

11. Pain along the entire arms. If your arms hurt along their entire length, from the shoulders to the fingertips, it means that you carry an emotional burden in the form of thoughts about something or someone.

In such a case you should ask yourself the following question: Why do I still carry this burden with me?

12. Pain in the palms of the hands. Our hands serve to reach out toward others as a sign that we long for contact and connection with others.

If the palms of our hands hurt, it means that we relate to others with our hands only a little. Try to make some new friendships.

Invite your partner, spouse, or anyone who is at least a little close to you to lunch. Make contact with someone.

Palm pain can be caused by refusing to let go of something in our minds, or conversely, by gradually beginning to give it up.

13. Hip pain. If you are afraid of movement and changes, this can manifest as hip pain.

Sore hips can be a sign that you resist life changes and moving forward in life.

Hip pain can also reveal your excessive caution when you need to decide on something. If you have been carrying big thoughts and ideas in your mind for some time, it is high time to decide to realize them.

A dull, indistinct pain throughout the hip area is related to insufficient support from others. When you receive no support, it can manifest in an overall disruption of your life balance and approach to life.

The most common accompanying feeling here is, of course, a sense of lack of love and support.

14. Pain appearing regularly in all the joints. Similar to muscle pain, joint pain points especially to a lack of flexibility in handling situations or to our excessive clinging to certain life situations, circumstances or conditions.

Therefore cultivate the ability to have an open mind so you can more easily adopt new ideas, learn new life lessons and experience new things.

15. Knee pain. When we suffer from the notion that life has no meaning and that we receive no support, it can manifest as painful knees.

If the inner side of your knees hurts, it means you do not feel any support from family, community, friends or even at work.

If, on the other hand, the outer side of your knees hurts, it speaks of problems in your personal relationships. Learn to be a little more humble and modest.

Occasionally get involved in some voluntary activity. You should never forget that you are among mortals. You are a person like any other, which means you also have an ego.

However, we should never allow our ego to interfere in our life more than necessary. Learn not to take the voice of your ego too seriously.

16. Toothache. This unpleasant pain indicates that we do not like the life situation we are in. We keep this resistance and dislike alive by repeating it daily in our thoughts and feelings.

We must be patient and start to realize that any situation life puts before us can be handled much more easily if we do not resist it and accept the situation with all its aspects — both the good and the bad.

17. Ankle pain. If our ankles hurt, it may mean that we cannot allow ourselves anything and are depriving ourselves of some pleasure.

Sore ankles may prompt us to start loving ourselves a little and allow ourselves some pleasures. It may also help a lot if we revive and spice up our romantic relationship a bit.

18. Fatigue caused by pain. Pain that drains our energy may originate in boredom, resistance or unwillingness to take the steps that would move us further in life.

You may be asking: “So what to do about it?”

Start to listen more carefully to that quiet but clear voice in your mind that gently urges you to open up to new life experiences.

19. Foot pain. When you are in a gloomy mood and depression takes hold, it can also appear as pain in the feet. Too much negativity can be reflected in the feet that carry our whole weight, causing them to start aching often and regularly.

There are several solutions. Learn to enjoy small things, get a pet, find a new hobby — in short, engage in something constructive that will bring you joy.

20. Pain in various parts of the body whose origin we cannot explain. The cellular structure of every person’s entire body goes through “re-encoding” several times during their life.

In this re-encoding process the body cleanses itself and rids itself of certain prevailing emotions that have been acting in it for some time but have proven unhelpful.

For the body to be able to cleanse itself of this energy, the activity of the immune system and indeed of all systems in the body must be temporarily weakened.

Conclusion

To conclude, the above points are summarized in a handy infographic that you can print out and thus always have at hand (click the image to enlarge):

So, although sometimes it may seem that our body is currently in a state of illness, the truth may be that it is more or less going through a cleansing process.

It should be kept in mind that this is a transitional state that will soon pass.
