All body types are unique and beautiful. But have you ever wondered why people store fat mainly in certain parts of the body?

Some women tend to gain weight on the belly, others around the waist, hips or thighs. Each of us has our problem areas.

This then implies a different way you should approach efforts to lose weight.

For each body type we have prepared the best way for you to lose weight and stay healthy.

1. Rectangular body type

The rectangular body type is characterized by approximately the same width of the chest, abdomen and hips, with a typically unpronounced waist and narrow hips.

For these women gaining weight is usually not a problem; on the contrary — they try to emphasize their feminine curves. Therefore incorporate healthy fats into your diet such as avocado, almonds or salmon.

Also focus on proteins, preferably of plant origin.

Don’t forget that even if you are slim, you should always try to follow the principles of healthy eating. Therefore do not eat a lot of sweets or fast food.

2. Apple-shaped body type

Women with an apple-shaped figure tend to gain weight faster, especially in the midsection. For you, the perfect type of diet is consuming smaller portions, but more often. That can mean up to six times a day, but eat slowly.

Eat more high-fiber foods such as fruit and vegetables, make sure to get vitamin C, and from dairy products prefer low-fat options.

The best are plain yogurts and kefirs, which also help regulate digestion due to their content of beneficial bacteria.

Avoid foods that produce gas and cause bloating (legumes, sauerkraut, fast food, baked goods and certain types of vegetables).

3. Pear-shaped body type

Women with a pear-shaped body have wider hips than chest and tend to gain weight more in the hips and thighs. They may also experience water retention in the limbs.

Eat more meat, fish, eggs, dairy products and other foods with a higher protein content.

Fruits ideal for you are watermelon and pineapple, because they cleanse the body of toxins that slow down metabolism. Combine them with drinks such as green tea.

Avoid foods high in salt and also processed foods such as baked goods or pasta. Also limit rice consumption.

It is best to replace them with unprocessed foods in their natural state, whether cooked or raw.

4. Hourglass-shaped body type

This is the most desired body shape among women. It is characterized by a fuller bust, a thin waist and fuller curves with measurements of 90:60:90, or close to that.

These women tend to gain weight evenly across all parts of the body and sometimes lack muscle tone.

However, a risk can be higher blood sugar levels, so it is recommended to consume foods with a low glycemic index and to eat 5 to 6 smaller meals a day.

Consume more fresh fruit and vegetables, healthy fats and lean meats (poultry and fish).

Avoid processed foods (white bread, pasta and rice). As in the previous case, it is best to replace them with crops in their natural form.
