Our grandmothers were magicians not only in the kitchen, but in the entire household. We bring you a few perfect tips that you’ll use every day!
Preserve the flavor and juiciness of garlic
You can preserve the freshness and juiciness of garlic with salt. Put it in a jar with salt and you can store it for up to a year without its taste or juiciness changing.
Drying woolen clothing
The best way to dry a wool sweater is with nylon stockings. Thread the pantyhose through the sleeves of the sweater and pull the top through the neck opening. Hang it as shown in the picture. This way the sweater won’t stretch and it will dry faster.
Fight against insects
Put bay leaves into the bowl with sugar, flour and everywhere there’s a risk of moth and beetle invasion. This will also deter ants, flies and other insects.
No stabilizer needed for whipped cream
If you want to obtain perfectly whipped cream that holds its shape, add an egg white while whipping.
Kitchen helper for curtains!
It perfectly whitens yellowed and old curtains. You can add it directly to the laundry powder (really just a little powder is enough).
In the case of very yellowed curtains, pour about 5–6 liters of water into a saucepan and add 5 packets of baking powder.
Let it dissolve and then soak the curtains in the water, let it sit and then wash them.
