However, there are foods that, according to recent scientific findings, can effectively and long‑term keep blood sugar levels under control. One such food is eggs combined with vinegar.
This method is recommended mainly for type 2 diabetes, that is acquired diabetes which can be controlled better by diet than type 1 diabetes.
This condition is characterized by a blood sugar level of 126 mg / dl when fasting or 200 mg / dl at any time of the day.
To prepare this homemade remedy you will need the following ingredients:
- vinegar
- water
- 1 to 2 hard‑boiled eggs
As a study has shown, vinegar has a positive effect on improving the body’s sensitivity to insulin. In addition, it reduces blood sugar fluctuations.
On the other hand, eggs provide the body with energy evenly throughout the day and thus help even out blood sugar levels.
Preparation and use
- In the afternoon, take one or two eggs and boil them hard in the usual way.
- Then peel them and poke several holes in them with a fork.
- Then place the egg (eggs) into a bowl or a glass, pour vinegar over them and cover with a cloth.
- Let them stand like this overnight.
- The next morning take the egg out of the vinegar, eat it and drink a glass of lukewarm water with it.
