Do you have problems with blocked sinuses? Do inflammations often form there and do you generally suffer from this problem? Then you surely know that it can be really very unpleasant. Often a common cold or an allergic reaction is enough for the problem to escalate. In such a situation we often reach for various pills, miracle tablets that are supposed to help us and provide relief. However, you don’t necessarily have to dose yourself with chemicals. In many cases your hands and the knowledge of how to deal with your sinuses are enough.
1) Fingers and tongue will help
It was discovered long ago that acupressure can help with many problems. In this case it can help relieve blocked sinuses, and it is indeed an effective method. In this respect you must stimulate the acupressure point that is found in the mouth.
The procedure is such that you need to press your tongue, laid flat, against the palate of your mouth while at the same time applying pressure to the area between the eyebrows, which you will of course do with your fingers. Always try this method for 20 seconds and then release the pressure. When applying this procedure you should feel mucus draining into your throat. This is an unmistakable sign that this technique really works. You can repeat it several times until the problems subside.
2) Massaging the eyebrows
Another option is massaging the eyebrows, which is a method that is most effective especially for the upper sinuses and a blocked nose. To apply it, you need to rest on your elbows and place your head in your palms. In this position place your fingers on the inner side of the eyebrows and bend forward. Once you feel a gentle pressure, start sliding your fingers along the eyebrow line, in this case moving away from each other. You should feel relief.
3) Rubbing movements
The last effective method is applying several rubbing movements. You need to place your hands on the sides of your neck. Now apply rubbing movements, thereby stimulating the lymphatic system. This causes the release of fluids that help unblock your sinuses.
