This is not the case! That myth was long ago refuted by many studies and surveys. It is known that tomatoes are not only tasty, but also the most useful when it comes to health. We should definitely enjoy them every day. Below we have prepared five reasons for you why to eat tomatoes every day. 

First reason

Tomatoes are rich in vitamins and healthy compounds. Primarily folic acid and vitamins A and C. They also contain large amounts of antioxidants, including the well-known lycopene, alpha-lipoic acids, lutein, beta-carotene and choline. The mentioned lycopene is responsible for the beautiful color of the tomato, so they are certainly very useful.

Tomatoes also contain acetic acid and citric acid, which protect the cardiovascular system and support the health of the digestive tract and regular intestinal peristalsis.

Third reason

Thanks to the contained vitamins A and C, tomatoes perfectly support the immune system and improve overall well-being. Not only tomatoes themselves, but also other products made from them are useful. For example tomato juice, canned tomatoes and so on. The juice helps with intestinal inflammation, anemia and impaired memory.

Fourth reason

If you suffer from regular constipation, first increase your fluid intake and then treat yourself to a regular serving of tomatoes. They are known for their laxative effects, which is why they are often recommended and prescribed by doctors.

If you are on a diet, the tomato will be suitable even then. Despite all its admirable qualities, the tomato is low in calories. Moreover, during dieting you will surely welcome the effects of the tomato, because the contained chromium blocks the feeling of hunger. If you enjoy it in any form, you will not have such an urge to constantly nibble on something.
