It contains many beneficial substances such as vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, with which it treats a number of different ailments. That is also why you should consume garlic preferably every day. If that is not possible, then at least several times a week.

How to properly consume garlic

Garlic contains several active substances, the most important and strongest of which is allicin. However, allicin must first be activated. You do this by crushing the garlic first and then leaving it in the air for a few minutes, during which enzymes activate the allicin.

Garlic is also best consumed raw because cooking destroys part of the allicin. The problem with consuming it raw is that garlic in this state is rather irritating to the mucous membranes of the mouth and stomach. It is therefore recommended to mix it with oil, parsley and other foods, which partially suppresses its smell and reduces its irritating effect.

Do not eat more than 1 to 2 raw cloves of garlic at once, otherwise irritation and stomach pain may occur.

Garlic under the pillow for better sleep and luck

Garlic under the pillow can have a positive effect on sleep quality. Besides improving sleep, there is another strong reason, although somewhat esoteric, for which there is no direct scientific evidence. Many people believe that garlic under the pillow can bring them luck, wealth and at the same time eliminate negative energies and evil spirits from their surroundings.

A variation of putting a clove of garlic under the pillow is to carry it with you during the day in a jacket or trouser pocket. If you also believe in such “otherworldly” things, then in addition to consuming garlic to gain stronger health and improve sleep, you can also use it to eliminate negative energies.
