The human body is a complex mechanism in which a number of processes occur simultaneously and independently. When something is wrong in your body, you will certainly feel it and often see it.

Body signals

However, not everyone pays enough attention to these signals, or only does so when it’s already too late. To prevent more serious health problems, you should recognize the symptoms of illness in time.

1. Dry skin

Dry skin is a sign of vitamin E deficiency and should be treated as soon as possible.

Consume more almonds, seeds, cabbage, vegetable oils, spinach, fish and eggs to increase your levels of this vitamin.

2. Brittle hair and nails

This health problem is mostly caused by insufficient levels of calcium and vitamin D in the body.

Consume plenty of vegetables, such as potatoes and broccoli, drink raw cow’s milk, kefir and yogurts, and eat a lot of sprouted wheat and grains.

3. Craving sweets

You crave sweets when your nervous system is depleted and you need an energy snack.

That doesn’t mean you should immediately grab chocolate – instead of this harmful treat, eat a little honey or a bit of dark chocolate.

4. Craving sour food

If you suddenly crave sour food, you will likely have problems with your liver or gallbladder.

To address this problem, consume more lemons and blueberries.

5. Craving seafood

A craving for seafood is the result of an iodine deficiency and this problem can be solved by starting to consume green seaweed, dark-blue beans, tuna and cod.

6. Bleeding gums

Bleeding gums are often a symptom of vitamin C deficiency, so make sure you eat enough cabbage, broccoli, kiwi, rowan berries, tomatoes, peas and papaya every day.

7. Craving salty food

If you crave salty foods, it is a sign of inflammation or infection in the genital area or urinary tract.

8. Irritability, leg cramps, poor sleep quality

These problems are caused by not having enough potassium and magnesium in the body.

If you want to raise the levels of both minerals, consume more cabbage, nuts, spinach, flax seeds, sunflower seeds and almonds.

9. Dry skin on the elbows

If you find that you have dry skin on your elbows, it means you have a deficiency of vitamins A and C.

Consume more pumpkin, oranges and apricots to solve this problem.

10. Craving raw food

If you crave raw foods, you can soothe your stomach with raw fruits and vegetables.
