Often, when I looked at them, I had the urge to cut them up immediately.
But I didn’t yet know what a brilliant idea it actually was!
Constantly tangled cords and broken slats?
All of that can be a thing of the past with this simple trick!
We’ve prepared a guide for you on how to upgrade your blinds and give them a new, modern look.
Not only is it simple, but you’ll also have fun with it and reminisce about childhood years and practical activities.
What will you need?
-old (ugly) blinds
-upholstery fabric
-scissors
-clothespins
How to do it?
1. First we’ll move on to the action that you have probably, like me, wanted to do many times, but never dared to.
2. Lay the old blinds on the floor and use scissors to cut the so-called ladders of strings that are located on both sides of the blind.
3. You will now be able to separate the slats from each other, and create a space between them about the width of your fist.
4. Then spread the slats out on the prepared fabric, fold the fabric over at the edges and glue it to the slats.
5. The glue must dry very well, so make sure the slats do not move during that time.
Once you make sure the glue is dry, you can hang the new blinds and enjoy their beautiful new look.
