Ticks are annoying parasites that can cause serious illnesses. These include particularly Lyme disease and encephalitis, which are transmitted by these small unpleasant creatures. If you want to protect yourself against ticks, try simple natural methods. It has been shown that these little parasites do not tolerate the scents of certain plants. And they will be great helpers in the fight against ticks.
How to prepare a mixture against ticks
Simply dilute 6 drops of essential oil from one of the plants listed above in 50 ml of a vegetable oil. The mixture prepared this way should be applied to the skin. If this form is not suitable, you can put the oil into a sprayer and spray it on yourself.
What to do if you have a tick attached to you?
If you find a tick on your skin, you must remove it quickly. You can use tweezers. Grasp the tick as close to the skin as possible and then pull it out. Disinfect the area well and check over the next few days for any redness. If you see any changes on the skin or do not feel well, seek medical attention immediately.
Where do ticks live?
Ticks are most commonly found in deciduous forests and tall grasses. These reach a height of about 120 cm. They most often attack our legs, so we can most commonly find them on our legs. However, that does not mean it is impossible to find ticks behind the ear, on the hands, or on the face. They usually look for a spot on the body where the skin is thinner.
