Are you a supporter of the so-called healthy foods containing a lot of vitamins that you sometimes bring home from shopping abroad?
In that case you should pay attention right now. Food inspectors at our western neighbor are sounding the alarm about the following product!
Don’t you happen to have it at home too?
Inspectors of the Food Inspection in the Czech Republic came up with a terrifying finding.
In dried Goji fruit, which is ironically sold precisely as a health food, they discovered the pesticide carbofuran, which also acts as a potent poison used to kill insects. That is why carbofuran was banned in the European Union in 2008.
The dangerous product with the exact name “Goji – kustovnice čínská” was sold by the company Oříšek based in Brno, batch L: NL004012017, best-before date 30/08/2018, country of origin: China. The product was supplied to the Czech REPUBLIC by the Dutch company King Nuts & Raaphorst B.V.
