A simple trick is enough and your faucets will shine again. You will remove the limescale that is a big problem for many households.
Cleaning the bathroom is demanding for many housewives because limescale builds up everywhere from frequent use of water. Everything must be hygienically clean, we spend a lot of time in the bathroom. Sometimes even the biggest tricks don’t work to make your faucets and sinks sparkle.
Try soaking a T-shirt in vinegar
We have a simple tip just for you. Just soak an old T-shirt or piece of cloth in ordinary vinegar, and you’re done. Place the T-shirt on the dirty faucet at the sink or tub and leave it like that for several hours. You can also wrap the T-shirt around the tap. Just put it on the places you need to clean. After some time remove the T-shirt and wipe off the limescale with an ordinary dish sponge. You’ll see for yourself how much scale you remove!
Vinegar is a great helper not only against limescale. You can also use it on floors because it has cleaning and disinfecting effects. Women also use it in the washing machine; you can safely use it instead of regular detergent or fabric softener. If you buy a new piece of clothing, vinegar helps to set the colors so other laundry won’t be stained.
You’ll find other household helpers at home
The same service as vinegar is provided by other ingredients you find in the pantry. One of them is baking soda, which you can use to clean a clogged kettle or to clean the drains in the sink. Just pour some into the drain and add hot water. Let it work and then clean as you normally would. You can also pour Coca‑Cola into the toilet, which, thanks to its composition, will remove all dirt. After flushing your WC will look like new.
These helpers will save you mainly:
- A lot of money on expensive products from the drugstore
- Time and energy you would spend in shops
- They also save nature because you use things without chemicals
Vinegar, baking soda and others have a big impact on our environment. It is therefore up to each of us whether we deal with things the natural way or choose the chemical route.
