It is generally known that our bodies are exposed daily to a huge amount of bacteria and toxic substances. Dangerous chemical substances are found not only in the food we eat, but also in the air we breathe. Regular cleansing of our organism should therefore be more than a matter of course for us. In this article we bring you some useful advice and tips on how to detoxify and maintain lasting, long-term health.

Activated charcoal:

Activated charcoal is made from burned wood, charcoal, oil, coconut or nut shells. It contains no oxygen, and therefore can absorb large amounts of toxins, heavy metals and other poisons that have entered our body. It is good to take one tablet a day before a meal.

Drinking water:

Hydration is something none of us should ever underestimate. Besides keeping us alive, water is also an excellent detoxifying agent for cleansing the body. Through the excretory system it flushes many unnecessary and harmful substances from the body via the bladder. Its consumption should be regular throughout the day, but not excessive.

Beware of dangerous sugars:

Some sugars and artificial flavorings can have very adverse effects on our organism. They can block the natural metabolism, resulting in too much glucose entering your blood. Weight gain will in that case be your least problem. High blood sugar can cause diabetes or heart disease. It is recommended to sweeten foods with natural sweeteners such as honey and homemade syrups.

Increase your intake of organic foods:

Organic fruits and vegetables do not contain toxins such as pesticides or antibiotics. If you increase your intake of organic food, your metabolism will improve. This will speed up the digestive process and make it much more efficient. A good choice is also to grow fruit or vegetables in your own garden. There is nothing like home-grown produce that does not contain various harmful fertilizers. This way you can quickly rid yourself of harmful substances.

Morning tea:

If we are in the habit of drinking coffee every morning, it may not be the happiest solution for our organism. Coffee contains cafestol, which is a diterpene molecule that raises cholesterol levels. If you are someone who cannot do without coffee, try to give it up for at least a few days. If you do not want to raise bad cholesterol in your body, replace your morning cup of coffee with a cup of herbal tea.

Fasting:

Not only during the pre-Easter period, but throughout the year we should set aside time when we reduce our food consumption. The foods we usually eat are processed and contain amounts of hard-to-digest sugars. During a personal fast we can give the body time to rest from these complex foods and at the same time prepare ourselves for a healthier lifestyle.

Sauna and exercise:

It is generally known that sauna and exercise have an excellent effect on our body. When we move, we feel healthier, our fitness improves and, not least, we slow down aging. By sweating, through the skin, our body excretes waste and unnecessary substances. When you have the opportunity, definitely enjoy such a cleanse from time to time.

Probiotics:

If you want to improve the function of your stomach and intestines, learn to take probiotics regularly. You can find them in various types of foods as well as in tablet form. One of those foods that contains a large amount of probiotics is classic yogurt. It is an ideal choice for breakfast.
