Before we begin with this article and show you an extremely effective technique, let’s say a few words about the spine.

As you surely know, the spine is made up of segments called vertebrae that are stacked one on top of another. The spine is further divided into 4 parts – cervical, thoracic, lumbar and pelvic.

For example, the cervical spine consists of 7 vertebrae and its main task is to support the head, which in an adult weighs 5 to 6 kilograms.

Today we’ll show you an exercise that will help you feel better, be more productive and even look better over time.

The given spine exercise meets the criteria of: simplicity, low cost, safety (if performed correctly), performance and effectiveness.

And as we mentioned earlier, this technique is very easy to perform and yields excellent results.

It will be enough if you do it exactly according to the instructions. You can find them in the following video (in English):

Czech translation of the video’s instructions:

The video is fairly illustrative, but if you do not speak English and would not be sure, here is a Czech translation of the instructions:

1. For the exercise you will need a belt like the one you wear in karate. If you don’t have one, a regular belt will do.

2. Lie on your back, bend one knee and stretch the other up. Drape the belt over the foot at about the first third and hold it with your hands halfway between your knee and your foot.

3. If your muscles are tight and you can’t do it in this position, feel free to raise the leg less and hold the belt at a longer distance, for example the full length between the foot and the knee.

4. Hold this position and breathe deeply for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

5. Now switch legs and repeat the exercise with the other leg. Again, breathe deeply while doing so.

6. After 30 seconds switch legs again and perform the exercise once more with the first leg and then once more with the other leg.

7. As you do this exercise every day and your muscles loosen up, try to hold the belt at increasingly shorter distances. However, the leg must remain straight.

Conclusion

And that’s all. Do this exercise every day and it won’t take long before your spine problems begin to improve significantly.
