A twenty-year-old young man decided to finish five-day-old spaghetti. Unfortunately, he paid for finishing old leftovers with his own life.

A sad and incomprehensible incident occurred in Brussels, the capital of Belgium. Twenty-year-old student named AJ got hungry, and so he thought to eat five-day-old spaghetti with tomato sauce that had been sitting on the stove the whole time.

That alone should have deterred him from eating them, but unfortunately it did not,

What food was it?

AJ didn’t find anything wrong with the spaghetti, so he heated them in the microwave and then finished them. Not long after, however, he felt sick, began vomiting and developed diarrhea, and so he probably thought he’d try to sleep it off. But he had no idea that this nap would be his last…

The boy’s parents found his limp body lying in bed. Only test results showed that the boy had been infected from the spaghetti by a bacterium called bacillus cereus, which releases toxic substances into the body and attacks the liver, which failed in the boy as a result of the poisoning.

If he had sought help immediately himself and drunk plenty of water, he could be alive today. By going to lie down, he allowed the bacterium to poison his body and kill him.
