Defective products are being pulled from store shelves increasingly often. A similar scandal has already affected Lidl and Kaufland, but this time the unpleasant problem is being addressed by Billa as well. Billa itself reported the defective product on its official website.
Billa
Billa was forced to withdraw the defective product for reasons not yet known. For now it only informed its customers that if they purchased the specific product, they can return it at any Billa store, even without a purchase receipt.
Defective product
Billa stated that it is Giana cod liver. Specifically, the package with a best-before date of 12/2018, batch number L114 B4 / 4 and L116 B4 / 1.
