Constipation can cause various other illnesses. It’s because toxins accumulate in the body. The cause of constipation can be an improper diet, since many people consume flour, pasta, meat and beans in excessive amounts, while omitting vegetables. For the body to function properly, it needs fiber. A lack of this basic substance is precisely what causes constipation.
The body needs fiber
Laxatives do not solve the situation; on the contrary, they destroy the blood microflora. Fiber passes through the entire body without being absorbed, and that is until it reaches the intestine, where it acts. Fiber is contained in fruit, legumes and cereals. Foods with a high fiber content include apples, pears, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and cherries.
You won’t go wrong consuming oranges, bananas, Brussels sprouts, artichokes, onions, garlic, corn, green beans, broccoli, lentils, peas, wheat germ, rolled oats and wholegrain bread or wholegrain cereals. If you combine a balanced diet with physical exercise, the constipation problem will soon be resolved.
Massage your intestines
If improvement still does not occur, try a simple home trick. It is a massage intended for regulating bowel activity. Press the right side of the navel with two fingers of your right hand. Continue in circular motions in a spiral clockwise. This will support intestinal activity and make bowel movements easier. Perform the massage daily for ten minutes to achieve the desired results.
Prune juice also brings quick relief. You can eat plums dried or fresh, but always wash them down well. This will also replenish fluids, whose lack is also a common cause of constipation. If you don’t have prune juice on hand, blackcurrant juice will have the same effect. Try to consume foods rich in probiotics and probiotics. They are in sauerkraut, kefir and other fermented foods.
Change your habits
Constipation can also have its cause in bad habits. Irregular meals, lack of vegetables and fruit and, on the other hand, an excess of sweets or black tea lead to irregular bowel movements. Wearing tight clothing and belts that press on the abdomen is also bad for the body. Go to the toilet every time you feel the need. When having a bowel movement, place your feet on a stool or an upturned bucket. Such a position is far more natural for the body than when your feet are on the floor.
