What do you most often remember when you look back on your childhood?
Of course, thousands of memories are tied to your parents, but your mind will surely also recall your grandmothers’ fantastic cakes, walks in nature with grandpa and unforgettable holidays at your grandparents’.
Sound familiar?
You try to raise your child as best as possible, you set certain rules, then the child goes to the grandparents for the weekend and suddenly everything goes out the window.
I believe that each of us has already encountered this situation and had to deal with it somehow
Every parent tries to raise their child as responsibly as possible. You set rules that the child must respect, for example: you’ll get a sweet only when you finish your whole lunch, or you can watch a TV series only after you have done your homework. It’s normal and understandable that we try to raise our children as best as we can.
But what should you do when the child goes to the grandparents for the weekend?
At the grandparents’, all the rules are suddenly forgotten. A specialty of grandparents is pampering their grandchildren. Such behavior is natural again; grandchildren are precious to them, especially when they do not see them very often.
And so, when visiting grandma and grandpa, children are literally “obskakované” and often showered with excessive love – a quantity of sweets, cakes and other things that children don’t get as much of in the home environment or only in much smaller amounts, speaking to the children in a pampering tone, and so on.
