Varicose veins are a fairly common health problem that affects both women and men.
They involve the widening or swelling of veins, which makes them more visible compared to healthy veins. In more advanced stages they are accompanied by swelling and pain.
Main causes of varicose veins
There are many things that can contribute to the development of varicose veins, but a few of them are more common than others.
The main factors are the following:
- family history
- age
- sex
- pregnancy
- obesity
- physical damage (injuries)
- lack of physical activity
People at highest risk for varicose veins
According to various studies, 50 to 55% of all women and 40 to 45% of men suffer from some vein problems.
As we mentioned earlier, the greatest risks are pregnancy, lack of physical activity, and prolonged sitting or standing.
People who fall under these criteria have the highest risk of developing varicose veins.
Types of varicose veins
Varicose veins are classified by stage into mild, moderate and advanced.
If yours look like a spider web, it is only the initial stage, when they can be treated relatively easily.
If you do not address them at this stage, over time there may be changes in skin discoloration, ulcers, thickening, burning sensations and swelling.
Natural ways to remove varicose veins
There are a number of natural methods to remove varicose veins that are an alternative to invasive surgery.
Depending on the stage of the varicose veins, these natural methods can either completely eliminate them or greatly reduce uncomfortable symptoms such as pain and discomfort.
We wrote previously on our site about one such method using green tomatoes.
You have surely also heard of compression stockings, which can effectively reduce swelling and pain, but they are only a treatment for symptoms, not the causes of the condition.
Today we offer you another excellent recipe that focuses precisely on removing the causes of varicose veins, not just suppressing their symptoms.
Ingredients
For preparing the recipe you will need the following ingredients:
- 1/2 glass (1 dcl) grated carrot
- 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel
- 1/4 glass (0.5 dcl) apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 glass (0.5 dcl) water
Procedure
Depending on the size of the affected skin area, you can adjust the amount of each ingredient while keeping the above ratio.
Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend at medium speed until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
When the mixture is ready, apply it to the skin affected by varicose veins. Cover it with gauze or cloth and leave it on for 30 minutes. During application, elevate your legs to a higher position to enhance the effect.
At the end, wash your legs with lukewarm water and dry them.
Repeat the treatment every day until the spider veins disappear or improve. This usually happens within 2 weeks.
