Refined sugar is known to create an extreme addiction in the body. It has been scientifically proven that sugar addiction has the same effects on the brain as the use of certain hard drugs.

This bad habit is also extremely difficult to get rid of.

This is especially true in situations where the body and digestive tract are overloaded by the growth of a yeast infection (Candida), parasites, or bacteria that love sugar.

How to get rid of a sugar addiction

To rid yourself of this craving for sugar, you need to undergo a detoxification process. Many studies have confirmed that, for this purpose, taking mint oil works very well, for example.

According to a study conducted by physician Dr. Alan Hirsch, direct inhalation of mint affects the brain centers responsible for triggering feelings of satiety in the hypothalamus, which occur after a good meal.

Peppermint is a plant that originates from Europe and the Middle East.

It is among the most popular herbs used almost worldwide. And there is a good reason for that.

Mint provides our body with several therapeutic benefits, such as:

  • improves digestion
  • alleviates symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome
  • reduces inflammations caused by lung infections
  • prevents asthma
  • clears the airways and removes phlegm
  • relieves herpes
  • controls stress and nervous system disorders

How to make mint oil

To make mint oil you will need the following items:

  • a herb mortar (that ceramic or wooden bowl that pharmacists also use to prepare medicines)
  • fresh mint leaves (you can now commonly find them in supermarkets or you can grow mint at home in a pot or in the garden)
  • a carrier oil, preferably olive oil
  • a glass, airtight container

Procedure
Proceed as follows:

1. Wash a handful of mint leaves under running water.

2. Place the leaves into the herb mortar and crush them well.

3. Transfer the crushed mint leaves into the glass container, pour in the oil and seal.

4. After 24 hours strain the oil, crush fresh mint leaves and pour the same oil over them again.

5. Repeat the whole process for 5 days, during which the olive oil will become increasingly concentrated.

6. Store the oil in a cool, dry place.

Use of mint oil

The mint-olive oil you make this way truly has versatile uses. It can be taken internally by the teaspoon or used for compresses or inhalation over hot water.

It will help you with these health problems:

  • reduces gas and bloating
  • supports the functions of the respiratory system
  • improves oral health (oil rinsing of the mouth for 5 to 10 minutes)
  • improves digestion
  • speeds up metabolism and helps with weight loss

You can add it to teas, juices or smoothies. It will energize you at times when you feel low on energy.

For refreshment you can massage it into your temples and wrists. A few drops in the mouth will pleasantly freshen your breath.
