We think that almost everyone loves tomatoes. Especially the small, sweet tomatoes called cherry, which are the cherry on top in a delicious summer salad. Moreover, this not only tasty but popular vegetable can offer you a number of health benefits. If you want to grow your own pesticide-free tomatoes full of vitamins, we have a trick for faster growing for you.

Growing tomatoes

We would like to reveal how to grow tomatoes in a simple and relatively quick way. The tomato fruits will be excellent and extremely tasty. You and your family will fall in love with them. And what is a big advantage? That they will not contain any chemical substances. The trick lies in one essential and simple step, for which you will use one overripe tomato that you would probably throw away anyway.

For planting you will need

  • Compost
  • Tomato substrate
  • Large flowerpot
  • Knife
  • Overripe tomato

The flowerpot should have at least ten or more liters. If you don’t have such a pot, feel free to use an old bucket or pot. Fill the container you chose halfway with soil and add compost as well. Now it’s time to slice the tomato into thin slices. Place the tomato slices on the substrate and cover them with soil. Do not press on the substrate; the slices must be covered very lightly. Water the tomatoes so that the soil is moist, not wet.

First sprouting

You will see the first sprouting soon, in one to two weeks. It depends on the temperature and the watering provided. Up to sixty seedlings may appear in the pot, but fewer as well. Once the small seedlings appear, you must separate them; if you don’t, the seedlings would gradually die. Plant each seedling in its own pot. Once the seedlings are large, you can place two plants next to each other, but only if you provide them with at least a twenty-liter pot, flowerpot, or bucket. Anyone can manage this simple trick and you don’t have to deal with constant transplanting and sourcing seeds.
