400 ml boiling water
2 tablespoons of honey

Preparation:

To make the cough remedy proceed as follows:

1. Peel the bananas and mash them with a fork or spoon. It’s better to use wooden or plastic cutlery, because then the bananas will brown more slowly in the air.

2. Put the banana puree into a glass or porcelain bowl and pour boiling water over it.

3. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it sit for 30 minutes.

4. If you wish, after steeping you can strain the mixture (but you don’t have to).

5. Add the honey and mix well.

Note: pouring boiling water over the bananas will degrade some of the vitamins and enzymes in the bananas. However, this recipe is not aimed at vitamin intake, but at obtaining substances that have anti-inflammatory effects and stop coughing. And these substances are extracted from the bananas precisely by steeping in boiling water.
