When someone asks you what you consider your greatest achievement in life, what would you answer? For people without children it might be a degree, a good career, a launched business and similar. But when you pose the same question to people who already have children, the answer will very likely be about them. After all, what could be a greater success than watching your own children grow and achieve important milestones in life? However, you can only clearly answer this question once you also have children of your own.

When you see your children grow into good people

Raising children so that they become truly good people is by no means easy. The key is mainly the example you set for them. A child’s nature is to imitate and repeat. Moreover, many habits are carried into adulthood by the child, often unconsciously. So if you want to succeed in this very difficult task and feel a sense of accomplishment as your children grow, focus first and foremost on your own behavior and the example you set.

Values, principles and intelligent games

From a very young age, try to instill in children the various principles and values important for life. If you wrap them in some kind of intelligent game, it will almost take care of itself. Parenting thus involves a lot of encouragement, but also careful and well-targeted criticism so that the child has the motivation to continually work on themselves. The transformation of a small child into a good person, however, does not involve only ordinary knowledge. Empathy toward other people is also important.

The world with social networks is different

The big problem is that the world has changed drastically in a relatively short time. Parents may therefore not manage to adapt to the new situation surrounding social media. It is precisely here that a gap can form which can undermine the entire effort to raise a good person with clear ideals and values.
