How to make it?
we need:
- approx. 250 g of plain ointment, petroleum jelly or coconut oil
- chopped rosemary (about 2 handfuls),
- A clean container for storage
Procedure:
Heat the lard (petroleum jelly rather in a water bath, lard or oil can be heated directly in a pot), but do not boil. Add the finely chopped rosemary sprigs to the melted ointment base. Let it cool and rest until about the next day. Then heat it again and strain through a clean cloth , so that there are no pieces of herbs in the ointment. Immediately fill into a jar, where the ointment will solidify. Store preferably in the refrigerator. Use as needed, but it’s good to always have it on hand, you’ll see for yourself!
