Aluminum foil is a common item in our kitchen. We regularly use it to store food in the refrigerator, but also for heat preparation. This aluminum foil can also be used in the treatment of illnesses.  However, people have long been afraid of the harmfulness of this foil.

Aluminum foil – Tinfoil

The most serious problem with aluminum foil is that it is made of aluminum. That is a metal that can be toxic to the body.
Studies by experts even showed that it is associated with Alzheimer’s disease.

Another serious problem with aluminum foil is that it causes breathing difficulties if aluminum particles are inhaled into the lungs.

It is also not safe to grill meat or fish in aluminum foil over a flame. At high temperatures a large amount of this dangerous metal is released into your food.

Analysts at the University in Sharjah in the United States report that up to 400 mg of aluminum is released when preparing dinner in aluminum foil. It was a finding of the synthetic designer and leader of the university research group Dr. Essam Zubaidi.
He revealed that when aluminum foil is exposed to high temperatures, the rate of aluminum leaching increases substantially.

It is recommended that herbs, tomatoes and citrus products, such as lemons, limes or oranges, should never be heated in foil.

The World Health Organization (WHO) states that the maximum daily intake of aluminum should not exceed 60 mg.
