Preparation procedure

  • Preparing the dough: Bring the water, butter, salt and sugar to a boil. Stir in the flour and mix until the dough pulls away from the sides. Let it cool slightly and gradually beat in the eggs.
  • Baking: Spread the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake first for 10–15 minutes at 200 °C, then reduce the temperature to 180 °C and bake for another 10 minutes until golden. Let cool completely.
  • Cream and whipped cream: Cook a thick pudding and, after it cools, beat it together with the butter. Separately whip the cream until stiff (optionally with a stabilizer).
  • Assembly: Cut the cooled sheet of dough into two layers. Spread the bottom layer with the cream, layer the whipped cream on top, and cover with the second layer.
  • Finishing: Spread the fondant icing on top. Let set in the refrigerator for at least 1–2 hours.
