Preparation procedure
- Crumble the yeast with a little sugar into the milk.
- When the sponge forms, add the remaining ingredients except for the cocoa and knead into a uniform dough. Divide the dough into two parts and add cocoa to one of them.
- Divide both doughs into smaller approximately equal pieces (the smaller the pieces, the smaller the rolls will be).
- Roll each piece into a circle. Then stack a white and a brown circle on top of each other, cut the dough into triangles and roll up.
- Depending on whether you put white or brown dough on top, your rolls will have different colours.
- You can also fill the rolls; a thick jam or Nutella is great :)
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and, while the oven is heating up, let them rise a little longer.
- Brush the tops with a beaten egg and bake at 200 degrees until the dough is sufficiently cooked.
