This homemade Kinder dessert XXL is the ideal choice for celebrations, family gatherings and weekend treats. A fluffy cocoa base, delicate vanilla cream and delicious chocolate glaze form a combination that little ones and grown-ups will love.

Ingredients

For the sponge:

5 eggs
200 g sugar
30 g cocoa
25 g oil
90 g all-purpose flour
90 g cornstarch
1 teaspoon baking powder

For the cream:

400 ml whipping cream
200 g mascarpone
50 g granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the syrup:

200 ml milk
100 g sugar

For the glaze:

100 g dark chocolate
100 g milk chocolate
30 g butter
250 ml whipping cream

Preparation procedure

Preparing the sponge: Beat the eggs with the sugar until thick and foamy (approx. 7–8 minutes). Then add the cocoa, sifted cornstarch and flour. Gently mix and finally incorporate the baking powder and oil.
Baking: Pour the batter onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper (23×30 cm) and spread evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 20 minutes. Let cool.
Milk syrup: In a saucepan combine the milk with the sugar, bring to a boil and let cool completely.
Cream: Whip the mascarpone with the sugar and vanilla extract. Then add the cream and whip until thick.
Assembling the dessert: Cut the cooled sponge lengthwise. Moisten the bottom layer with the milk syrup, spread the vanilla cream and top with the other half of the sponge. Moisten that one with syrup as well.
Chocolate glaze: Bring the cream to a boil, pour it over chopped chocolates and stir until smooth. Add the butter, stir and immediately pour over the dessert. Spread evenly and chill.
