Preparation procedure
- Preparing the dough: In a saucepan heat the water with the butter until the butter melts. Add the flour and stir until a smooth dough forms that does not stick to the sides of the pan. Remove from the heat and let the dough cool slightly.
- Adding the eggs: Lightly beat the eggs with a pinch of salt in a bowl. Gradually add the eggs to the dough and mix until you obtain a smooth and elastic mixture.
- Shaping the wreaths: Preheat the oven to 220 °C. Put the prepared dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, pipe small wreaths. Bake for about 12 minutes, until the wreaths turn golden.
- Preparing the cream: While the wreaths are baking, whip the cream, quark and powdered sugar into a smooth cream.
- Filling the wreaths: After baking, let the wreaths cool completely. Carefully slice each wreath longitudinally with a knife and fill with the prepared cream.
