  • Preparation of the starter: In a bowl, mix the warm water, sugar and yeast. Stir well and let sit for a while to activate the yeast.
  • Preparing the dough: Add the oil and stir. Then sift in the 500 g flour, add the salt and mix until a smooth dough forms. Gradually add the remaining 200 g of flour and mix well again.
  • Mixing and rising: Knead the dough for at least 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Grease the bowl with oil, place the dough in it, cover with a cloth and let it rise for 40 minutes in a warm place.
  • Shaping the bread: Grease the loaf pans with oil. Divide the risen dough into two parts, shape into balls and let rest for 20 minutes. Then roll out the dough, shape into loaves and transfer to the pans.
  • Second rise: Cover with a cloth and let rise for another 20 minutes. Then brush the surface of the bread with water and lightly sprinkle with flour.
  • Baking: Preheat the oven to 190 °C and bake for 35–40 minutes, until the bread is golden and crispy.
