Preparation procedure
- Vegetable preparation: Slice the cabbage and carrot. Massage the vegetables well so they combine and release their juices.
- Filling the container: Fill a three-liter container with the vegetable mixture almost to the top. Press the mixture down well with your hand so it is compact in the container.
- Preparing the brine: Pour boiled and cooled water over the vegetables until they are completely submerged. Once the water stops sinking, add a tablespoon of salt and a tablespoon of sugar on top.
- Fermentation: Let the mixture rest at room temperature for one day. After the fermentation period, the pickled vegetables are ready to serve.
