- Wash and peel the potatoes
- Cook the cleaned potatoes in lightly salted water, drain and let cool
- After completely cooling, pass the potatoes through a meat grinder
- Grate the hard cheese finely
- Peel the onion and chop into the smallest possible cubes
- Beat the egg
- Add all these ingredients (egg, onion and grated cheese) to the potatoes and mix thoroughly
- Form balls from the dough (size as desired) and coat in breadcrumbs
- Before frying, score the balls, for example with a crisscross pattern
- Heat oil in a pan over low heat and add the butter
- Then fry the balls until golden on both sides and serve
