Preparation procedure

  • Preparing the batter: Cream the butter with the sugar until fluffy. Gradually add the eggs, then the flour mixed with baking powder and the milk. Divide the batter in half – stir the cocoa into one half. Spread the light-colored batter on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then spread the cocoa batter on top. Evenly distribute the cherries or sour cherries on top. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 °C for about 25–30 minutes. Let cool completely.
  • Cream: Cook the pudding using the milk, sugar and pudding mix, then let it cool. Whip the butter with the powdered sugar until fluffy. Gradually add the cooled pudding in portions and mix well. Spread the cream over the cooled cake base.
  • Topping: Melt the chocolate with the oil in a double boiler. Pour and spread over the layer of cream. Place the cake to set in the refrigerator for at least 3–4 hours, ideally overnight.
