Preparation procedure

  • Prepare the pudding: In a liter of milk, cook the chocolate pudding with the sugar according to the instructions. After cooking, let it cool slightly, stirring occasionally to prevent a skin from forming.
  • Make the batter: Beat the eggs with the sugar, pour in the oil and water, then fold in the flour mixed with the baking powder. Pour the batter onto a greased and floured baking tray (or line it with baking paper).
  • Pour the pudding: Pour the warm pudding over the batter in a cik cak pattern – it doesn't have to be precise; the irregularity is what makes the cake visually effective. Put it in the oven and bake at 180 °C for about 30 minutes, until the batter is set and slightly golden.
  • Prepare the topping: Mix the sour cream with the powdered and vanilla sugar. After baking, let the cake cool slightly and then spread the cream topping over it.
  • Finish and decorate: Sprinkle with grated dark chocolate and let the cake rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight.
