Preparation procedure
- Preparing the base mixture: Crush the cookies into small pieces, preferably using a rolling pin or in a blender. Add the chestnut purée, vanilla sugar, powdered sugar, melted butter and a few drops of rum to a bowl. Mix everything thoroughly until a compact dough forms.
- Shaping the truffles: From the prepared dough form small balls, size according to your preference. If the dough sticks too much, you can wet your hands to make it easier to work with.
- Chilling: Put the finished truffles in the freezer for 5 minutes so they harden and are easier to work with when dipping in chocolate.
- Dipping into chocolate coating: After they have hardened, dip the truffles into melted chocolate coating. You can decorate them as you like, for example with crushed nuts, coconut or colored sprinkles.
- Serving: After dipping in chocolate coating, let the truffles set, ideally for 10-15 minutes, so the chocolate hardens properly. Then you can serve.
