Preparation procedure
- Preparing the starter: Put warm milk, 1 tablespoon powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon flour and the dried yeast into a mug. Stir and leave in a warm place to let the starter rise (about 10 minutes).
- Preparing the dough: Sift the flour into a bowl and add the remaining sugar and a pinch of salt. In another bowl, mix the egg, melted butter, oil and milk. Add the starter and the liquid ingredients to the flour. Knead into a smooth dough that is not sticky. Cover with a cloth and let the dough rise for about 30 minutes.
- Shaping the buns: Divide the dough into smaller portions and shape each into a ball. Using a piping bag or a small bag, fill each ball with condensed milk.
- Baking: Place the buns on a baking tray greased with butter and dusted with flour. Brush the surface with the beaten egg yolk. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 20 minutes, until the buns are golden.
- Finishing: Let the baked buns cool. Lightly dust them with powdered sugar before serving.
