- Whisk 2 eggs with the sugar until foamy.
- Add the flour, baking powder, oil, milk, and cognac.
- Slice the apples thinly and add them to the batter.
- Grease a baking pan with butter, put the batter in it and bake for 30 minutes at 200 degrees.
- Mix 1 egg with the sugar and two tablespoons of melted butter. Pour over the baked cake and add the walnuts on top. Bake for another 15 minutes.

- TIP: To taste, you can add cinnamon, a pinch of nutmeg, or ground ginger to the apples. Cognac can also be replaced by another aromatic liqueur, for example griotte.
