Cakes and pastries with seasonal fruit are always a great choice. In summer, in the garden you can find various berry varieties, pears, apricots, and apples. This recipe uses apples and gives you a quick, not time-consuming tart that is crisp on the outside and tender inside. It won’t take much of your time or many ingredients, and you can find them all at home.

Preparation procedure

  • Preparation of the apples: Cut the apples in half, remove the cores and peel them. Line a baking tray with baking paper and roast the apples on it in an oven preheated to 200 °C for about 15–20 minutes. After baking, let the apples cool.
  • Preparation of the dough: Mix all the ingredients for the dough and knead well. Divide the dough into two halves and roll each into a rectangle.
  • Assembling the pie: Spread butter on one layer of dough and place it on the baking tray. Arrange the cooled apples on the dough, sprinkle with semolina, powdered sugar and cinnamon. Cover with the second layer of dough, gently press it down and seal the edges.
  • Baking: Bake in an oven preheated to 200 °C for about 40 minutes.
  • Finishing: Once cooled, sprinkle with sugar and cut into slices.
