Chicken broth is a popular dish around the world. Not only is it tasty, but it’s great, for example, when you’re ill or even after a raucous evening when we’ve overdone it with alcohol. Many of us cook it quite often, but it’s quite possible that the majority do it wrong. Today we present a recipe for chicken soup that will put all others to shame. We’ll show you what a proper chicken broth should look like.
What you will need
To cook the best chicken broth, you need to prepare the following ingredients:
- 8 – 9 smaller chicken thighs
- 2 potatoes
- 1 onion
- 1 carrot
- 1 celery
- 120 g thin noodles
- bay leaf
- paprika
- dried or frozen vegetables
- salt
- 5 – 6 l of water
As you can see for yourself, these are not hard-to-find ingredients; you can find them in any store and yet they can create such a gastronomic treat.
Get to work
Now you can get to work. Follow the steps below step by step. First remove the skin from the thighs and put the meat into a pot. Pour in the required amount of water and add salt, onion, carrot, celery, bay leaf and finally don’t forget the pepper. Start cooking. As soon as foam appears, always remove it with a spoon. Cook covered for about 20 minutes. In the meantime you can start preparing the potatoes. Peel them and cut into even cubes. After 20 minutes remove all the ingredients from the pot and pour the soup into another pot.
Finish everything with potatoes and toasted noodles
Add the potatoes to the broth and bring to a boil together with the onion and celery. Then add the carrot cut into rounds and shred the meat. Reduce the heat and add the vegetables. Meanwhile lightly toast the pasta in a pan and after the potatoes are cooked add the toasted noodles. Mix everything thoroughly. You’re done and can serve. The chicken broth will put you back on your feet and give you energy, whether you feel miserable for any reason. Enjoy your meal!
