Bad cholesterol and the clogging of vessels with deposits are often silent killers. At first they lead to high blood pressure, later they can cause a heart attack or stroke.

Vessels

You should therefore take an interest in your vessels already when you are still young and do not suffer from any health problems. It will be enough if you choose one or two foods from the following list that you like and include them in your diet at least occasionally. They will then do the necessary work themselves.

1) Oatmeal

The main component of oatmeal, soluble fiber, prevents the formation of cholesterol in the vessels. This type of fiber binds to cholesterol and removes it from the body. Research has shown that if you eat just 1.5 to 2.5 bowls of cooked oatmeal a day, you can reduce your blood cholesterol level by up to 20 %.

2) Cranberry juice

Drink 3 glasses of cranberry juice per week regularly. This will reliably cleanse your vessels. This type of juice increases the ability of cells to absorb fat and turn it into energy instead of it being deposited in your vessels.

3) Pomegranate

Pomegranates contain powerful antioxidants that help you prevent hardening of the arteries. They thus reduce internal damage to them and can even reverse existing degenerative changes occurring within them.

4) Olive oil

Research has shown that olive oil is a fantastic means of preventing high blood cholesterol levels.

Only oxidized cholesterol can stick to vessel walls and form deposits on them. The most important component of olive oil is monounsaturated fats, which bind to cholesterol and prevent it from oxidizing.

5) Garlic

Garlic has been used since time immemorial to prevent and treat several serious health complications. Initially it was used mainly to prevent high blood pressure and heart disease. Today, within preventive medicine, it is also used to prevent hardening of the arteries, which is an accompanying symptom of the formation of vascular deposits.

6) Tomatoes

Korean researchers have found that certain components of tomatoes prevent thickening of the arteries. It is mainly lycopene, which gives tomatoes their characteristic red color.

They also revealed an interesting fact: women with high levels of lycopene in their blood exhibited lower stiffness of their vessels.

7) Spinach

Spinach is high in folic acid and potassium, which prevent the development of high blood pressure. These substances also relax the vessels in a way that prevents the deposition of cholesterol in the vessels, thereby effectively preventing the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Lutein, another component of spinach, effectively prevents the development of macular degeneration, which is the main cause of vision deterioration and loss in older people.

8) Kiwi and cantaloupe (cantaloupe)

You can also cleanse your arteries well by consuming one glass of cantaloupe or one kiwi a day. This effect is thanks to their high antioxidant content and their ability to lower levels of bad LDL cholesterol in the blood. They thus prevent not only the oxidation of cholesterol but also its further spread in the vessels.

9) Grapes

Flavonoids, resveratrol and quercetin found in grapes are some of their most valuable components. They prevent the oxidation of bad cholesterol responsible for the formation of vascular deposits. In addition, they significantly reduce the risk of blood clots (thrombosis), which can lead to serious circulatory system complications.

10) Fish

The University of Southampton conducted a study that examined the effect of fish consumption on preventing vessel clogging. The findings showed that fish such as salmon or tuna, rich in omega-3 fatty acids, effectively prevent the formation and accumulation of deposits in the vessels. These omega-3 fatty acids are extremely powerful in preventing the oxidation of bad cholesterol and the formation of blood clots. It is recommended to consume wild-caught fish, which, unlike farmed fish, have a higher proportion of omega-3 fatty acids and a lower content of harmful substances.
