You’ll see that this recipe will become a family treasure and pancakes will not only be for weekend morning breakfasts, but you’ll gladly enjoy them with afternoon coffee or as a sweet dinner. And the kids? They’ll be over the moon with these delicate pancakes!

Ingredients

What do you need to prepare to make this unique pancake batter? Prepare:

  • 50 dkg flour,
  • 3 eggs,
  • 1 egg yolk,
  • 20 dkg granulated sugar,
  • 3 dcl milk,
  • 3 dcl baking soda,
  • 2 dcl oil
  • a pinch of salt, optionally vanilla or peanuts.

Preparation

How to make a sweet treat? The advantage of this recipe is that anyone can really handle it, because it is simple and quick.

All you need to do is thoroughly mix all the listed ingredients in a large bowl; use a glass one so the batter doesn’t cling to the edges. In the case of peanuts be careful — they are a possible allergen, so serve them only to those who are not allergic to peanuts. Others will be pleasantly surprised: grated peanuts add an interesting flavor and a coarser texture to the pancakes.

Now let the liquid batter rest for a while.

In the meantime, prepare a cast-iron pan and heat it to medium temperature. There’s no need to grease it with oil, because oil is part of the batter. After the pan is heated, ladle the batter and pour it onto the pan. The batter spreads well over the entire bottom of the pan, which makes the pancake perfectly thin. After a few minutes, flip. Because of the batter’s consistency, the pancakes should not tear; they will remain fragile and tender.

Garnish with fruit or ice cream

Traditional fillings are homemade jam or curd. Children will surely swear by Nutella. For the perfect indulgence you can garnish the plate of pancakes with fruit and sour cream. Chocolate lovers can add shavings of dark chocolate directly into the batter and serve with vanilla ice cream and a scoop of whipped cream.
