It is a mixture of cinnamon, coconut oil and honey
This combination not only makes the coffee tastier, but also speeds up the metabolism. The result will be that you burn more calories and therefore lose a few kilos of fat.
If you would like an even richer taste, you can add a little cocoa powder to this mixture.
Now let’s take a closer look at the individual ingredients.
Cinnamon
Cinnamon is an excellent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory substance that humanity has used for centuries to protect against various infections and inflammations.
It also has the ability to lower blood sugar levels and give you a feeling of satiety, which also supports weight loss efforts.
There are two types of cinnamon on the market – Chinese and Ceylon.
Ceylon is of higher quality
Ceylon cinnamon can be consumed in higher doses because it does not contain a harmful substance called coumarin, which is found in Chinese cinnamon. This substance is toxic to the liver and kidneys.
Coconut oil
Coconut oil contains a large proportion of healthy fats, which is its biggest advantage.
Most fats are composed of long-chain molecules, but coconut oil is characterized by medium-chain molecules that are metabolized differently in the body.
These medium-chain fats travel from the intestines directly to the liver, where they are either used to produce energy or converted into ketones (unlike other fats, which are stored in the body).
Coconut oil also has thermogenic properties that speed up the metabolism and support calorie burning.
Honey
Honey contains several substances that are beneficial to our body, such as iron, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, and calcium. It is also rich in folic acid, niacin, riboflavin, vitamin C, and vitamin B6.
These substances raise levels of good HDL in the blood at the expense of bad LDL cholesterol.
Honey is a well-known elixir of health and has a long list of ailments for which it is often used in treatment. These include cardiovascular diseases, weakened immunity, and support for a healthy body weight.
However, it is recommended to consume raw, unpasteurized, and unprocessed honey that has not been deprived of many beneficial substances during production.
Recipe for a weight-loss mixture for coffee
To make the coffee weight-loss mixture, mix the ingredients below in the following ratio:
- 1 to 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 1.5 dl coconut oil
- 1 dl honey
Mix all ingredients until you obtain a homogeneous mixture. Store it in a sealed airtight container.
Each morning take 1 to 2 teaspoons from it and add to warm coffee instead of sugar and milk.
