The term „telangiektázie“ may mean nothing to you, but if the phrase „broken capillaries“ appears in speech or in an article, it will be clear to you what problem is meant.
These are small but dilated blood vessels that appear close to the skin surface and are therefore very visible. If there are many of them and they resemble a spiderweb (for this reason they are sometimes also called spider veins) and especially when they are visible on the face, they represent a significant problem for most people. This problem affects mainly women, but by no means only them.
Although it is a relatively common complaint, from a medical point of view it is a fairly complex problem, because there are several types of these vessels and causes of their dilation, whether congenital or acquired. Some medications can even contribute to their formation, which can be confirmed, for example, by some patients who were treated with corticosteroids.
If you suffer from an increased occurrence of telangiectasias on the face, your first stop will of course be the doctor, who will recommend an examination and treatment by a specialist. However, that does not mean that there are no natural helpers that can provide relief.

Parsley, both root and leaves, we have become so used to using in cooking that we forget that such seemingly ordinary plants can also have beneficial effects on our health when used in ways other than food.
To obtain a medicinal decoction from parsley, you will need
- to pour a handful of leaves with boiling water (100 ml),
- let it steep for half an hour in a covered container,
- then strain it, and
- add milk at room temperature (50 ml).
Soak a towel in the finished decoction and, after gently wringing it out, apply it to your face and leave it on for at least 20 minutes. For this parsley treatment to be effective, you should repeat the process daily for 20 days and return to it whenever the problems reappear.
Aloe vera
If you are not yet among the growers of this plant, it’s time to change that. Not only is cultivating aloe very simple and you will have a bit of greenery at home, but aloe has almost miraculous properties when it comes to its effects on damaged human skin. It helps, for example, with skin injuries, burns, insect stings, and can also be used in the fight against broken capillaries.
Pick one aloe leaf, cut it lengthwise and store it in the refrigerator, preferably for a few days. When the leaf is ready, cleanse your skin with a tea decoction – you can use black or green tea. Rub the cleansed skin with the cut side of the leaf so that the aloe gel is evenly spread over the face. Don’t be afraid if you feel a stinging sensation. It only means that the aloe is working, and if you use it regularly this unpleasant side effect will disappear. Repeat this cleansing process for 14 days, every other day.
Zelená rajčata
Natural substances that can be used in the fight against broken capillaries are also found in green tomatoes. When you slice them into rounds, place them on the problem areas of the face and leave them on for at least 3 minutes, you will see that after 10 days this natural treatment will have an effect.
