The main cause of cough and shortness of breath in the occurrence of infectious respiratory diseases is the deposited secretions produced by the mucous membranes of the airways. This secretion plays a role in trapping allergens and pathogens, so it is beneficial to some extent. However, if too many are produced and they have no way to be regularly expelled, they accumulate in the airways and cause cough, shortness of breath and wheezing in the lungs.
Miraculous turmeric
You can eliminate these problems in several ways. The first is gargling a turmeric solution. The active ingredient found in turmeric called curcumin is antiseptic, antibacterial and strengthens the immune system. For the gargle prepare a teaspoon of turmeric, a glass of warm water and half a teaspoon of salt. Mix everything thoroughly and gargle three times a day for one to two minutes.
Honey and lemon will also help you. This miraculous combination has antibacterial and antifungal effects, and also prevents obstruction of the airways. In a mug or glass mix one tablespoon of honey and two teaspoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Consume the mixture three times a day. A saline rinse also soothes the throat. Add half a teaspoon of salt to a glass of water, stir and gargle with the mixture twice a day.
Inhale steam
Inhaling steam helps loosen secretions that have adhered in the airways. Put water to boil in a large pot, add half a teaspoon of thyme and half a teaspoon of rosemary. Boil briefly and then remove the pot from the stove. Take a clean towel, lean over the pot with hot water and drape the towel over your head. Breathe deeply the vapors coming from the pot. Repeat at least twice a day.
Ginger has strong antibacterial and antiviral effects. It also acts preventively against various illnesses. Ginger tea effectively loosens secretions in the airways. Simply pour about a liter of water into a pot, add six slices of fresh ginger, bring to a boil and simmer for at least five minutes over low heat. After it cools slightly add honey. Drink the tea two to three times a day.
