My grandmother used to give me a dried clove to chew every day. I will never stop being grateful to her for that.

Clove spice originally came to us from distant China, where it has been used in Chinese medicine for centuries. It is a fragrant spice that has many effects on the human body. Here we usually use it in the kitchen, however the Chinese are aware of the greater potential that clove conceals.

If you’ve ever tried chewing a clove for a sore throat, you did well.

One of the most well-known effects of this small spice is strong disinfection. Clove thus instantly destroys bacteria and various other microorganisms. For this reason it is recommended to chew clove even for toothache or a burned tongue.

But that is only the beginning of many of its effects!

Cleansing from parasites

Getting rid of parasites is very simple. If you feel that your stomach is not right and something in your intestines is acting up, chew clove for several days about half an hour before a meal. Chew it at least twice a day; if you don’t mind its aroma, then feel free to do it more often. It is a strong preventive measure. So if you are prone to diarrhea or digestive problems, clove is the right thing for you, because it is an excellent prevention that stops the proliferation of any parasites. It may sound miraculous, but even if you start using it at the last moment, when you already feel terribly ill, it will still help.

Clove will also rid your body of golden staph (Staphylococcus aureus), but in this case remember that it is still only an adjunct to medications for faster treatment. In the case of staphylococci, it is necessary to follow medical instructions first and foremost.

It is also a great curiosity that clove significantly affects the bacillus associated with tuberculosis itself!

For oral use

Do inflamed gums, stomatitis, or periodontitis trouble you? Remember that the essential oils contained in a single small clove remove bad breath, inflammation, and stop bleeding from the mouth. Chewing clove is much more effective than rinsing the mouth with chemical preparations and any reputable dentist will confirm that.

Purulent tonsils

Tonsillitis is an unpleasant thing and purulent plugs in the throat are its most unpleasant symptom. If you can stomach it and can endure the pain, crush a clove finely, mix it with a little honey or a little clean water and dip a cotton swab into this mixture. Then rub it over the purulent plugs. Not only will you immediately get relief from the pain because the clove locally numbs the mucosa for a while, but it is possible that under the power of the oils the plugs will loosen and you will wipe them down from the throat. However, be careful with direct contact. You may gag if you irritate the throat too much. If you don’t feel up to that, at least chew the clove. Even that will help you more than nothing.

For better digestion

Clove also strengthens the digestive tract and improves its processes. Therefore chew them a minute before each meal, even before ordinary pastries with coffee.

However, definitely avoid them if you have been diagnosed with stomach or esophageal ulcers or high blood pressure. In that case clove might not do you any good! On the other hand, use it if you suffer from gastritis, bloating and low pH in the body.

Cancer prevention

The effects of clove as a prevention against the proliferation and multiplication of diseased cells, i.e. cancer, have long been known. Clove even helps in cases where you have cancer, because its effects are so strong that they prevent the formation and multiplication of new cells. If you have someone in the family with this disease and suspect heredity, you won’t go wrong by chewing clove preventively, even if you feel fine so far. At the very least your breath will never smell.

To increase blood pressure

If you suffer from low blood pressure, we also recommend chewing a little dried clove daily. It is enough to break off just the top buds, which contain much of the goodness. They are even stronger than coffee! They will get rid of headaches, lethargy and strengthen your immune system.

And how to find out if the clove you have at home is still fresh? Simply soak it in a bowl of water. If it floats horizontally, you can only use it for gingerbread. But if it floats vertically or sinks completely, then you can use it orally however you like.
