Herbs have been attributed healing effects since ancient times. Rosemary belongs to the most popular herbs; its properties were already used by people in the Middle Ages. Folk tradition considers rosemary a plant of love that increases vitality. It is definitely worth incorporating it into your daily diet, adding it to dishes or making tea from it.
For cold feet
Rosemary stimulates blood circulation, which allows oxygen and nutrients to reach cells better. This improves their function. Rosemary essential oil added to a carrier oil can increase blood flow to the skin. If you want to get rid of problems with poor blood circulation and cold feet, massage the oil into the soles of your feet every day.
Rosemary has analgesic and anesthetic effects, so it is recommended for headaches. It can even reduce migraine symptoms. In such a case it is recommended to inhale rosemary essential oil, or massage it into the forehead or temples. If you suffer from an upper respiratory tract infection that causes a blocked nose and headaches, add rosemary oil to hot water and inhale the steam under a towel.
Relieves pain
Rosemary has anti-inflammatory effects; it relieves arthritis, back pain, gout and menstrual pain. In such cases the most suitable method is to treat the affected area by applying rosemary compresses: simply brew a strong tea, soak a clean towel in it and apply it to the painful area for a few minutes. And how to prepare a healing tincture? You will need the following ingredients:
- 1 sprig of fresh rosemary, preferably with flowers
- 96% ethyl alcohol
- A sterilized bottle
Chop the rosemary into small pieces and place them into the prepared dry bottle. Pour enough alcohol over it to completely submerge the plant. Seal the glass container tightly and place it for 15–40 days in a dark and cool place. It is very important that the jar is tightly closed. Before use, strain the liquid thoroughly. Drop a few drops onto the affected area and rub in thoroughly.
