In today’s article I will briefly share useful information for gardeners. It often happens that cucumbers are prone to disease prematurely. Therefore it is recommended to use a protective spray that, in addition to protection, ensures that the plants produce more, for longer, and increases their resistance to diseases.
Horseradish spray
Prepare 50 g of fresh grated horseradish, pour five liters of water over it and let it steep for 24 hours. Then strain the solution, pour it into a spray bottle and spray the plants. Apply the spray once a week.
Milk spray
To make it you will need 500 ml of fresh unpasteurized milk. It is important that the milk is fresh because pasteurization destroys substances in it that can effectively eliminate cucumber mildew. The milk is mixed with water in a 1: 1 ratio and the spray is applied to the plant in the same way as in the previous case. It is recommended to repeat it once a week.
Protective fertilizer from coffee grounds
Coffee is rich in various nutrients; it contains, for example, potassium, nitrogen, and phosphorus, as well as antioxidants. Fertilizing with coffee is worthwhile not only for cucumbers but also for tomatoes. In addition, many pests dislike the smell of coffee, so it also provides great protection for your crops. Against slugs, for example, it is recommended to sprinkle dried coffee grounds around the plants.
Procedure:
Stir the coffee grounds in a bottle with water and let them steep for 3 days.
During this time shake well occasionally. After three days pour it over all your plants, whether they are flowers or vegetables.
